Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, is set to kick off on June 5th. Mark Gurman, Bloomberg’s Chief Correspondent for all things Apple, has shared some exciting predictions for the event. He anticipates the debut of the AR/VR headset, as well as updates to Apple’s operating systems for smartphones, tablets, computers, and smartwatches.
In a fascinating twist, Gurman also hints at the unveiling of “several new Macs,” suggesting that there will be more than just the 15-inch MacBook Air equipped with an M2 chipset.
Gurman previously revealed that Macs featuring the M3 platform would be introduced later this year. The upcoming MacBook Air will house the M2 chip, while a new Mac Pro boasting an M2 Ultra chip is expected to deliver “ultimate CPU performance.” Although a new iMac all-in-one desktop seems unlikely, we might see a new Mac Studio powered by an M2 chip.
The keynote is scheduled for 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern (17:00 UTC), and a live stream is anticipated. We’ll be closely monitoring the event and will provide a comprehensive report once everything is officially announced.
