Continuing its impressive momentum in the vlogging camera space, Sony introduces the latest addition to its ZV series – the ZV-1 II. This successor to the three-year-old ZV-1 enhances the line-up while maintaining much of the previous model’s core attributes.
The ZV-1 II, at a glance, may not appear to be a significant leap from its predecessor. However, the primary enhancement comes with the wider 18-50mm f1.8-4 lens, a departure from the 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 lens sported by the ZV-1. It should be noted that this new lens does not offer optical stabilization.
The ZV-1 II also inherits many updates from its last year’s sibling, the ZV-1F. These enhancements encompass the USB-C connector, a 3-capsule microphone, and a repositioned tripod mount. Moreover, the ZV-1 II adopts the entire user interface and feature set from the aforementioned model.
When it comes to the sensor, processor, display, stabilization, autofocus, battery, photo and video features, the ZV-1 II aligns identically with its ZV-1 counterpart. Priced at $900, the new ZV-1 II is set to hit the shelves in June.
